The Malheiros samba soundtrack ventures to the dance floor and is successfully broken.

When it comes to producing dance music synthesized with the Latin nuance, Far Out Recordings are a familiar name. The interesting blend of Sabrina Malheiros' vocals blended and sampled by three giants of broken beats; Henry Wu, Dego (2000 Black) and IG Culture, who sit at the head of this remix table.

Clareia is the second track taken from the successful album of the same name released on 28th July 2017. You can order it here

By no coincidence, Malheiros is the daughter of renowned Azymuth bass player Alex Malheiros. You can hear and feel the genetic inspiration of the broken, syncopated and samba beats chaperoned by the club-bass line.

There is not much in the way of vocals as per the original samba track, and in my opinion the original outweighs the remixes in terms of the uplifting and feel-good factor. However, the sampled vocals are melodic and catchy.

Each of the artists on this release dominate their respective mixes with their up-tempo BPMs, which are often heard on the London underground music scene. The beats are engaging and rhythmic.

The dance tracks are forceful, and I am sure we will hear more remixes from the album as budding producers twiddle and modulate with Cubase, Native Instruments Maschine and Ableton.

There lies potential commercial success for this release in the dance scene, with an already made audience thanks to Henry Wu, Dego (2000 Black) and IG Culture.

Take a short trip to Shoreditch and you will hear broken beats played in the bars and clubs along the high street.
